DS90UB954-Q1: How to reduce EMI noise?

Hi Team,

My customer want to know how do they reduce EMI noise on the system 953/954.

In sync mode with external clock = 25MHz, the peak noise level at 1.6GHz, is over the criteria.

Do we have feature such a SSCG, (spread spectrum clock generation on 914a? if there is another way, please let us advise.

Yada-san,
One option is to use the non-synchronous internal clock mode (953 uses the internal clock so no external oscillator is needed) to reduce the spurs. This is similar to adding SSC to the REFCLK on 954.

Yada-san,
The non-synchronous internal clock mode is being added to the 953 datasheet which is currently undergoing a revision. So more information on this mode will be available soon.
Another option is to use the spread spectrum option on the 954 REFCLK. This is also being added to the current update of 954 datasheet.
