Doubt about EN pin on TXB0102 vs TCA9517ADGKR

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TXB0102, TCA9517A

Hi everyone,

I was reading the datasheet of the TXB0102, and it seems to be it's very important that this pin has a pulldown resistor in the init for a correct init. If you don't need to enable and disable this pin you could tie this pin to +Vcc forever, but with a pull-down resistor with a value => 50 k.

So far everything right, but I was reading the datasheet of the IC TCA9517ADGKR and it doesn't tell anything important related to this pin. I need to have the IC enabled all the time too. Any suggestion? I think that using the same configuration that the TXB0102 is the best option, that is to say, tied to +Vcc with a pull-down resistor.

Do you agree with me?

Best regards.
