TCA9548A: TCA9548AMRGER vs TCA9548ARGER

Part Number: TCA9548A

Hello,

Can someone help with the difference between TCA9548AMRGER and TCA9548ARGER? I didn't see any mention in the datasheet or electrical specs. Only mention was a change in Oct 2015 "Added new orderable part number, TCA9548AMRGER"

  • Hi Kyle,

The part number with the "M" in it is rotated by 90 degrees in its packaging reel (compared to the "non-M" version). The two orderable part numbers exist only to give options to customers based on their manufacturing flow.

  • Hi Kyle,

To add to Max's response, the TCA9548AMRGER of the device has pin1 located in quadrant 1, as this can be a requirement by some factories. As mentioned, there are no changes to the IC besides the orientation. The TCA9848ARGER has pin1 located in quadrant 2.

    Regards,

    Kaitlyn
