TCA9548A: spike time

Hello,

Our customer use the TCA9548A, have a question.

Refer to the block diagram on the datasheet, there is no input filter at signal line

(SCL to SC0:7 , SDA to SD0:7).

Is the spec of spike time effective at these signal line?

Hello Naoki-san,

Our internal filter is effective and no external filtering is needed. If you add filtering you will affect the rise times of the bus. I am not sure what your question is? "Is the spec of the spike time effective at these signal line?" Can you elaborate on your question?

Hello Francis,

Sorry for my delay reply.

Refer to the block diagram, internal filter is between SCL,SDA and I2C bus control block.
Internal filter is not between SCL, SDA and SCx,SDx.
So, I thought the filter is not effective for SCL, SDA and SCx, SDx signal line.

Hello Aoyama-san,

You are correct. This deglitch filter applies only to the device's own I2C logic and does not carry forward to the other SCx and SDx lines.
