PCA9306-Q1: Offset Voltage

Part Number: PCA9306-Q1

[ PCA9306-Q1 ] Offset Voltage

Hi,

My customer has been testing PCA9306-Q1 on their board, so far it works well.
However, they have seen a potential failure device which shows unexpected offset voltage druing voltage level translation operation.
See waveform below.

* Single potential failure device
* Pin #4 (SDA1) waveform
* approx 1.1V offset
* Pin #5 (SDA2) shows similar offset voltage.

Other findings
* Customer has replaced this device to other device, then this behavior gone.
(This behavior occurres only on this paticular unit.)

* No obvious short mode from initial curve tracer test of all pins to VREFx and GND.
(Note: no comparison performed between known good device, because we don't have it.)

From the information above, I still suspect the customer's assembly failure for this paticular unit.
Do you have any other ideas of this behavior?
It's appreciated if you comment on this from PCA's level translating operation.

Thanks,
Ken
