is it possible to not have the SDA main line connected to ANY Channel 0-Channel 7. Ie all Channels would be free to communicate with no connection to the main SDA/SCL line. would it be valid to say that all Channels are high-impedance when not enabled?

Hey Julia,

That is correct, If none of the channels are enabled the pass FET between the channels and the main line will be high impedance so the signals on any of the other ports will not pass to the main channel and vice versa.
