PCA9515B: I2C buffer in Ta=105C

Part Number: PCA9515B
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PCA9515, PCA9306-Q1

Hi team,

My customer is looking for the drop in p2p replacement device to NXP PCA9515ADP,118, since it can't support the operation in Ta=105C.
Are there any recommendable devices?

I could find PCA9515B via cross-reference, but it can't support Ta=105C unfortunately.

Best regards,
Iwata Etsuji

  • Hello Iwata-san,

Can you tell us more about the customer's set up?

    a. What mode of operation (max frequency) are they using?

    b. What is their Vcc range?

    c. Do they need voltage translation or just buffering the capacitance? (I assume they just want to buffer based on PCA9515)

    "Are there any recommendable devices?"

-To my knowledge we only have one device that is specified for Ta= 105C which is the PCA9306-Q1 which is not a buffer. What I can say is that our devices rated for 85C will likely work for 105C Ta however using it outside of the 85C range will affect their FIT (failure in time) rate.

    Thanks,

    -Bobby
