AM26C31

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM26C31

Using AM26C31 in my product. There is a manufacturing defect from a customer return where the pin #16(Vcc) is lifted up(disconnected). However this unit can pass our functional test ( having output on Channel 1, Channel 1 bar, Channel 2, Channel 2 bar)

Question
1. Why and how can this happen since the Vcc pin is disconnected.

  • Hi Thomas,

My name is Steven and I am a new user on this Forum.   I submitted my questions to TI.com but they asked me to go here to chat with people.   I don't know how to start.   I found some topics about your AM26C31 Line Driver.   This is the product I am using and having problem.   Could you please forward my problem description to anyone you know, or show me how I submit my question in the Forum.  Thank you Thomas.

    Problem Description:

I am using TI Line Driver Integrated IC part number: AM26C31Q, a surface mount package. The chip is ok for my application for the line driver of two inputs to make 4 complimentary outputs. However, I am seeing crosstalk at my 4 outputs at frequency of 5-20KHz. If I put some pull-up Resistors on the outputs of the 4 signals after AM26C31Q, they are perfect. If not they give me bad crosstalk right in the middle of my square wave output signals.
