Hello,

I plan to use LVDS communication lines in my design but I'd like to keep RS422 compatibility.

From what I've seen, the RS422 receiver AM26LV32E should be able to "decode" the LVDS signals from for example a DS90LV011A driver. As long as the driver meets VOC>1V and VOD>200mV it would be good right ?

Yes, it will work. However, the voltage noise margin is really low. Of course the data rate should be within the AM26LV32E capabilities.

The distance between Tx and Rx is less than a meter, will do a clean, shielded, twisted pair wiring.

Tell me if you think I have no chance to get it work. Otherwise, I'll try to give you a feedback in few months :)

It has a good chance to work. The input high (VID+) will work for sure because even a 0V input is treated as high (for the safe safe circuitry). Input low (VID-) has the least overdrive.
