I was perusing the datasheet for SN65HVD231 CAN transceiver (SLOS346L March 2001 revised January 2015) and found a number of errors:

1. In section 13.1 of layout it says "An example placement of the Transient Voltage Suppression (TVS) device indicated as D1 (either bi-directional diode or varistor solution) and bus filter capacitors C8 and C9 are shown in ." Shown in WHERE?

2: The chart which indicates slew rate has the Y axis labeled as "Outout" and the X axis as "resistance in kW"

Can you comment on these errors?

Hi Jason,

Thank you for catching these typo's for us!

Figure 44 in section 13.2 shows the layout example. I do not a chart that has the x axis label as "resistance in kW", could you please tell me what figure this is? Or a page in the data sheet?

Also, did you have a specific question about device operation or an application in which I can offer some input on?

That was figure 33, that had “Outout” and resistance in kW, I meant to send a screenshot. Thanks.

No specific questions on the device itself.

Figure 33 should read kilo ohms not kW.
