What is the best RS-485 Transceiver choice for me

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN65HVD3082E, SN65HVD1780

I am looking for help on deciding the best RS-485 transceiver chip for my application. I need a chip with the following qualifications:

  1. 5 volt power
  2. Fails safe Idle, open, short
  3. 8PDIP
  4. Half duplex
  5. ESD protection
  6. Low EMI

I have already looked around and like the SN65HVD3082E and the SN65HVD1780.

I chose these because of there longer rise/fall time which I understand reduces EMI. For the application we only need to run 19.2kbps at a MAX distance of 100 feet.

Me being new to this field of communications can anyone help me decide which transceiver would be best for my application or if you have a better chip in mind I would love to here about it.

Thanks for the help!
