SN65LBC180-Q1 Receiver Enable requirement

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN65LBC180

Hi,

I would like you to confirm whether there is any requirement of wait time when user can input REn signal to output Received signal.

Does user need to wait a few second after Vcc is stable ?

If you have requirement such as power up sequence, could you please let me know ?

Best Regards,

Machida

  • Hi Machida,

Receiver should be enabled at least 35ns(receiver enable to receiver output delay) before the signal to be received, refer to figure 7 of SN65LBC180-Q1 datasheet.

I do not have exact quantitative value right now for the device turn ON time, but I will try to look into this and get back to you.

There is no power up sequence as such required for the transceiver, but you may have to take care of power up state (Driver/Receiver enable) of transceiver based on your application.

Does "device turn ON time" mean the time when SN65LBC180 can accept/recognize input signal after Vcc is supplied ?

  • Machida-san,

Yes, Device turn ON time mean the time when SN65LBC180 can accept/recognize input signal after Vcc is supplied/stable.
