Hello,

           Customer use MAX3223 and test supply current as below while auto power-down enable. But the 2.8mA have load looks large to customer. Do we have any comments or have lower supply current RS232 solution while connecting to load to customer? Thank you. 

The current is 2.8mA(have load).

The current is 0.12uA(no load).

    For auto power down enable, FORCEOFF_B = High, FORCEON = L
    A load on the driver won't increase ICC, if the device is truly power down. With a valid input on either RIN, the device will not power down so the load on driver will use power.

    Pull FORCEOFF_B low to power down regardless of input signal.
