TL16C752B Register Default Value

Hi,

I have a question about TL16C752B UART Controller.

I want to know the default value of registers after power on.
Becaues at following TI E2E post, TI engineer said user need to configure all register bits.
(it include register bit which user didn't set)
but there are no information about default value in TL16C752B datasheet.

    Hi g.f.

    This is our recommendation because some times this device has problems with these registers and you will see random values. If you set all registers you can be sure that you have exactly the value that you want.

    Thank you for the reply.

    In our case, we don't use Hard/Soft flow control.
    In such case(for example Soft Flow control), I think Xon/Xoff register are unmeaningful.
    Do I also need to set irrelevant value to the Xon/Xoff registers ?

    And we don't know what value should be set to TCR register and TLR register when using "non-FIFO" mode.
    Is it fine to set these register to Zero when it is non-FIFO mode?

    Yes, you do. If you want to know the exactly value. In this case, you won't need to set these registers because it is not necessary. In case of non-fifo mode you can set to zero these registers.
    If you can, please make a doble check into programer's guide.
