TI CAN transceiver with interrupt pin

Dear Sirs

Does TI has CAN transceiver with interrupt pin?

  • Hi Nat,

No, none of TI's CAN transceivers currently have an interrupt pin. We do have transceivers with wake-on-CAN functionality like TCAN1042, though. This allows for the transceiver to be in standby mode while the CAN bus is being monitored for a dominant/recessive/dominant wake-up pattern. Once this pattern is received, the RXD output will go low. This falling edge can be used to alert the MCU/controller that the CAN bus is active, and it can then configure the transceiver for normal operation (rather than low-power standby mode).

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Regards,
    Max
