TCAN334: About tPLH and tPHL Max values of Driver and Receiver

Part Number: TCAN334

My customer is looking for can tranceiver which is shorter delay time.

We suggested TCAN334 for their specs.
They are requiring to us about max value of tPHL and tPHL.

Do you have max values about tPHL and tPHL of Driver and Receiver.
We use its as reference values.

Best Regards,

  • Hello Hirata-san,

Sorry for the delay in responding. I reviewed our characterization data for these devices, and can provide you a summary. Since these parameters are not production tested for min/max limits, I will give you statistical info that you can use to derive min/max values:

    Driver Parameters
    - tPHR minimum condition occurs at -40 C. Average measurement at this corner is 28.868 ns. Standard deviation is 0.1137 ns
    - tPHR maximum condition occurs at +150 C. Average measurement at this corner is 38.236 ns. Standard deviation is 0.1427 ns
    - tPLD minimum condition occurs at -40 C. Average measurement at this corner is 17.185 ns. Standard deviation is 0.1465 ns
    - tPLD maximum condition occurs at +150 C. Average measurement at this corner is 31.832 ns. Standard deviation is 0.2847 ns

    Receiver Parameters
    - tPRH minimum condition occurs at -40 C. Average measurement at this corner is 60.206 ns. Standard deviation is 0.6676 ns
    - tPRH maximum condition occurs at +150 C. Average measurement at this corner is 75.644 ns. Standard deviation is 0.6687 ns
    - tPDL minimum condition occurs at -40 C. Average measurement at this corner is 53.865 ns. Standard deviation is 0.4979 ns
    - tPDL maximum condition occurs at +150 C. Average measurement at this corner is 63.851 ns. Standard deviation is 0.4567 ns

One thing you can also reference is the loop delay spec in the datasheet. This gives the total round-trip delay (TX and RX path) of one device. This parameter does have a maximum value defined in the datasheet, and it is faster than most other CAN transceivers available.

Please let me know if you need anything else.

    Best regards,
