HI Sir

We would like to design HDMI to SFP+ and SFP+ to HDMI

1. May I know TLK10022 support this application ?

2. below structure have a CDCE62005 connect TX and RX at the same time ? If use for HDMI ,may I know CDCE62005 is necessary?

Hi Hsiao,

1. The TLK10022 supports this application, is able to aggregate 4 synchronous HD-SDI sources together into one high speed link.
2. The block diagram above is referring to vide aggregation for display port where the 4 sources are independent, hence, the clock generator and jitter cleaner is needed. Otherwise for HS-SDI, this clock generator is not needed, although the synchronized data inputs are required, this can be achieved via a burst generator, SDI framer buffer, among others.

May I know HD-SDI and HDMI is the same video signal ??
So you mean if I use TLK10232 for HDMI ,I can use it without clock gen for HDMI ?

Hi Hsiao,

Sorry for the confusion. HD-SDI is not the same video signal than HDMI, the first one does need the clock generator and jitter cleaner since the lanes are synchronized, otherwise, HDMI needs an external REFCLK to sync-up.
