SCANSTA112 - nrnd

Part Number:
Part Number: SCANSTA112

Question type: Production/quality issue

Support topic: /Product/Production, ordering, and quality/

Description of the problem: The SCANSTA112 got the nrnd marking (not recommended for new design).

What does this mean in case of availability of this component for the next years?
We have this part in our product and need to know by when we need to react and jump to a different component.
Thx

  • Hi Jens,

This is the first time that I have heard that this device has been placed under NRND. I will check with our team to find out more information regarding this status change.

    Regards,

    Michael
  • Hi Jens,

I double-checked about the status of this device, and it appears that the SCANSTA112 has mistakenly been placed on the NRND list. We are working to change the status back to ACTIVE. There are no current plans to obsolete this device.

    Thanks,

    Michael
  • Hi Michael,

I got now the message by mail that part is NRND. Is this also a mistake?

  • Hi Jens,

Yes, this is also a mistake. For the last month, our marketers have been working to restore the ACTIVE status on these devices, as we are unsure how it fell into NRND in the first place. Please let me know if you need a specific statement of assurance that the devices are still active while we are working through this issue.

    Regards,

    Michael

  • Hi Michael,

It has been over a month since this message chain was posted, and the SCANSTA112 is still listed as NRND on the website. Can you send me a statement via email that this is an error and that the component is still Active. I need this for my sourcing department.

    Regards,
    Jonathan
