Hi,

As I confirmed the JESD 201 standard,

"Table 4b - Manufacturing Process Change Acceptance Tests and Durations"

I think that they apply "Table 4b" rather than "Table 4a - Technology Acceptance Tests and Durations"?

* Using Manufacturing Process Change Acceptance or Technology Acceptance

Whether to use or not is defined in Table 1 below.

If you change the lead frame material, use Table 4a instead of Table 4b

I do not know why Table 4b is used.

Hi Seishin,

I spoke with my quality team this afternoon to understand your question because I am not familiar with JESD 201A. So what I would like to know is the full orderable part number that you are referring to because there are a few different ones for this part and if you have it the PCN number you are referring to. If you give this information I should be able to fully answer your question.

Hi Seishin,

Sorry for the delay on this. The NS16C2552 is an old national part and we are having a little trouble find the records on the part. I have several people from my quality team looped in though and they are working on finding any relevant PCN associated with the NS16C2552TVS/NOPB. There are a few people on vacation right now though so this is moving slowly. I pinged them again this morning though for an update so hopefully I will receive one soon. As soon as I have some info I will share it with you.

Hi Seishin,

We qualify use of Matt Sn finish per JESD201 (table 4a) to make sure no whisker issue, and after the qualification is complete, we do not check every Matt Sn device. Site ORM follows QSS 004-011 (Section 11, plating process control).

I think this is the whisker test result of JESD 201(table 4b).

I'd like a whisker test result of JESD 201 (table 4a).
Total Duration: 1500 cycles,4000 hours

Hi Seishin,

I have not heard back form them although late last week they told me they were working on getting an official statement together on TI letter head. This is an unorthodox request which may be why this is taking so long. I cannot give out TI internal contact information to non TI employees so I will continue to drive this for you. I will ping them again today and hopefully be able to follow up with you.
