I am considering to use MAX3221 RS-232 Transreciever but i could not be sure about one issue. In the "9.2 Typical Application" section in datasheet there is an arrow from 11th pin of transreceiver "DIN". Normally, it is an input pin, if you share your information about why it was shown like output or the explanation of arrow's meaning i will be happy.
