TRS3386E: question about Rise & Fall time

Part Number: TRS3386E

Hi,

I would like to check the Rise and Fall time for the TI's RS232 Transceiver TRS3386, and Please let me know which part I should see on the datasheet.

1. TI Part :TRS3386
2. Ask for rise and fall time by data rate.

thanks,

TS

  • Hello TS,

This device specifies switching speeds based on slew rate rather than rise and fall times - this is typical for RS-232 transceivers. The maximum slew rate from -3 V to + 3 V is 30 V/us, which means that the minimum time needed to transition from -3 V to + 3 V is 200 ns. Similarly, the minimum slew rate of 4 V/us (for load capacitances up to 2500 pF) would correspond to a maximum transition time of 1.5 us.

    Best regards,
    Max
