​Hi,

Is there a table for TUSB212 EQ setting?  We don’t know which one is min/max gain from the level0 ~ level3 EQ setting.
 
Does it make sense to cascade two TUSB211 chips on one signal path for more gain?
 
There’re two used cases here as below.  Please let us know your suggestion.
 
1st Customer design is as below, will you suggest using TUSB211 or TUSB212?
MB: about 20 inch (TUSB211 place on MB and close to MB-to-FP board CONN)
Cable: about 1.2m
Daughter Board: about 2 inch
 
2nd Customer topology is as below, where should they place TUSB211, and will you suggest TUSB211 or TUSB212 here?
The USB2.0 trace length is about 7444mil from CPU to USB BC1.2 charger.
The trace length is about 860mil from USB charger to USB connector.
CPU --> USB Charger --> USB connector.

    Hello Antony,

       The EQ levels order from min to max is 3 0 1  2. yes it is possible to use two TUSB211 in cascade (the best placement is one close to the USB2 controller and the other close to the connector).

    for the customer cases:

    1. The suggested placement is correct and should be enough for the application.
    2. I think the TUSB212 is the right choice due to the BC.
