Hello All,

We're using a TSUB8040 in one our design and I need a way to program the EEPROM. The programming utility needs to be accessible via the command line or via some other hooks so that I can automate the programming.

Is there a command line tool to program the TSUB8040's EEPROM? If not is there a library that I can link against to write my own command line programmer?

Hello Sheldon,

Before commenting on your question, I would like to point out that the TUSB8040 is not recommended for new designs. We suggest to use TUSB8041 instead.

Unfortunately we do not have any command line utility that would let you program the external EEPROM over USB, nor a library that can be used to develop such utility.

Recommendation is to use an EEPROM programmer either before it is soldered on the board or once soldered during ICT.

Would it be possible to get the source code for the UI programmer? We should be able to talk that and make our own command line programming tool.
