Dear sir,

Customers have one issue with using TUSB1002.

After returning from S3/S4, their USB3.1 gen2 device will degrade to gen1.

But if replace to use TUSB1002A, this issue will be resolved.

The customers want to know what is the root cause? and TUSB1002A how to fix this issue?

Hello,

this could happen because of many reasons. To help figure which reason it is can you tell me what did the system look like (e.g. CPU-> 5000 mil trace -> TUSB1002-> 2000 mil trace-> USB connector). what EQ settings were you using on each?

Customers follow INTEL CFL PDG

Port 1: PCH -> 6300mil / 1VIA -> TUSB1002 -> 1000mil / 1VIA -> USB Type A connector

Port 2: PCH -> 6700mil / 1VIA -> TUSB1002 -> 1000mil / 1VIA -> USB Type A connector

EQ and CFG are all floating.

The issue might have been caused by the EQ differences of the TUSB1002 and the TUSB1002A. but it also might have been caused by the improved jitter performance of the TUSB1002A vs the TUSB1002.
