TPS65987D: Storing Billboard information

Part Number: TPS65987D
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TUSB8044

Hello there,

I'm trying to use a TPS65987D with the TUSB8044, and in the latter's Datasheet, when using it in a HUB configuration, it mentions that the PD controller has to configure the Billboard function in the TUSB8044 and store Billboard information on an external EEPROM, as follows :

From the highlighted sentence, I understood that the PD Controller is supposed to store the Billboard information on the EEPROM. Is this correct?

I've found that I can tie the Billboard Event to a GPIO in the TPS65987D on the GPIO events docs, but I haven't found any reference to recording Billboard information to an EEPROM in its datasheet. Actually, it doesn't even mention "Billboard" on it. Is there a configuration of the TPS65987D which performs this, or do I need to program these BBbmConfigure0 and BBbmConfigure1 ports? I believe that the PDIO Alternate Mode Event could be used, but I don't understand how to map these GPIO events to the BBbmConfigure[1:0] ports.

Thanks,

Eduardo
