SN74AVC16T245: Power Calculations

1) page no 5 of datasheet: here it is written contineous current through each Vcca, Vccb and GND; since it contains 2 Vcca , 2 Vccb and 8 GND. So, what should be total current rating for purpose of power calculation.
2) what is the value of resistance in directional circuit for Vin 1.8V (as it is not mentined anywhere)

  • Hi Deep,

    You can consider the Ioh Iol value as per the electrical characteristics for power calculation. Each IO channel is capable of providing current as rated in the electrical char table.
    DIR pin is high impedance input and hence the value of resistance will be very high. It can be calculated using the input leakage current spec from the electrical char table.

    But in my design require conversion of 1.8V to 3.3V at all 16 channels.
    In such situation what will be the approximate power consumption of this particular component.
