ISOW7841: ISOW7841 isolation power to drive ISO7741

Part Number: ISOW7841
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ISO7741

Hi,

Can ISOW7841 integrated power supply enough current to drive ISO7741 for 8chs, 100MHz application?

Best Regards

Sean Zhang

  • Hi Sean,

    The maximum data rate capability of ISO7741 is 100Mbps which is equivalent to a 50MHz frequency signal.
    At 100Mbps operation (with a load of 15pF at output side ) the worst case current consumption of ISO7741 is as below.
    ICC1 = 11.3mA and ICC2 = 22mA

    ISOW7841 is capable of sourcing upto 130mA output when 5V input is applied and upto 75mA output when 3.3V input is applied.

    This means that the worst case total current consumption for two ISO7741 devices ( 2 *  22 = 44mA) is still well below the output current capability of ISOW7841.
