ISO3082: Can GND pin floating?

Can the pin 9 of ISO3082 left floating with no connection to ground?
What is the risk of doing it?

Hi Gabor Szoke,

It is NOT recommended to leave GND pin floating.

For our understanding , What is the system case? And why is pin 9 GND connection a concern?
