Hi

My customer is requesting for isolated RS485 device. Requirement as below: Power is 3.3V; Half-duplex; data rate is bigger than 500Kbps; Both signal and power need to be isolated; isolated power should be generated by RS485 device. As customer feedback. ADI ADM2582 meet this requirement. Do we have similar solution? Thanks!

    Hi David,

    Currently we do not have a single part capable of providing Isolated power + RS-485 interface.

    However please do check out our combination solution of ISOW7841+SN65HVD147x.
    http://www.ti.com/tool/TIDA-00892.
    This reference design will have superior isolation performance and improved RS-485 specifications as compared to the rest of the market.
    The design also shows how the combination footprint can be designed to almost fit within the solution space required by the single IC.
