ISO3082: Supply current

Part Number: ISO3082

Team,

my customer wants to supply ISO3082 from a transformer that is designed to deliver max. 150mA.
The ISO3082 datasheet mentions "short-circuit output current" is +/-200mA.

Do you see any issue with the power supply capabilities of max. 150mA?

Thanks

  • Hi,

Since the transformer based power supply meets normal operation current requirement of ISO3082, this should be sufficient. Under short circuit condition, if power supply is limited in current output then its output voltage might drop. This will make device go into hiccup looking for short to be removed rather than staying in short circuit continuously. This shouldn't be an issue for ISO3082 during short circuit test condition. Thanks.
