ISO7842: leak current when UL1577 VISO test

Part Number: ISO7842

Hello,

Is it possible to know the leak current during VISO=5700Vrms test?

Best regards,

Toshihiro Watanabe

  • Hi Toshihiro-san,

Since the RIO of ISO7842 is going to be >1TΩ under typical operating conditions, you can estimate the leakage current to be <10nA (=5.7kV/1TΩ). Since 5.7kVrms is going to be applied only for 60 seconds in VISO test, this current will also be observed only for 60 those seconds. When the working voltage is less than 1kVrms then the leakage current will be <2nA. Thanks.
