ISO7740: The output port's VCC2 and GND2 are short circus.

Part Number: ISO7740

Dears:

We use ISO7740DWR in our board, and found the output port's VCC2 and GND2 are short circus in some boards or the resistance between VCC2 and GND2 is below 40Ohm.

Btw, the VCC is 5V input.

Pls. kindly help!

Thanks a lot!

Best regards

  • Hi Luck,

Thank you for using E2E forum to post your queries.

I would need a little more information about the issue you are facing so that I can help you debug the issue, please help me with the below information.

    1. Did you remove the sample from PCB and test if the short is on PCB? Did you also independently check if the de-soldered sample still shows a short between VCC2 & GND2?
    2. Were the samples good before they were soldered onto PCB?
    3. What tests did you conduct on the PCB?
    4. Can you please share more information about your application and how are you using ISO7740 in your application?
    5. Please share the schematic.

  • Hi Luck,

Were you able to find the cause for the short between VCC2 & GND2? It would be difficult for us to debug this issue remotely but if you could share us the information requested, I can try give the possible causes that could have happened. Let me know, thanks.

  • Hi Luck,

I am hoping you have found the root cause for the short you had observed on VCC2/GND2. I am closing this E2E post, if the issue is not addressed and if you have additional information to share please do not hesitate to respond back to this post. Thanks.
