dual isolated power supply

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ISOW7841

Hello,

I need dual output isolated power supply in 4-20ma transmitter with both o/ps are 5v Or 3.3v Or either of this, and which provide min 100mA current.

can u suggest me any part no

Regards,

Megha

  • Hi Megha,

    Thanks for using our forums.
We recommend starting with the SN6505.

It gives you an output power budget of 5W and
based on transformer and rectifier configuration, we can get multiple outputs.

Do you have a block diagram to share ? Based on
other needs , such as data isolation, there is room to further optimize this using an all in one integrated
part , such as the ISOW7841.

Our team will follow up with you on more details
when we come back to the office on Monday.

    Thank you ,
    Abhi
  • Megha Bansode,

As Abhi says, a 5W isolated power supply can be designed using TI's SN6505 transformer driver. With LDOs or zener regulators, 5V and 3.3V supplies can be designed together from one SN6505 circuit. Would you like for us to share schematics with potential solutions?

    Thank you for your time,

  • Hello Abhi,

    Thanks for your positive reply,

As you suggest i will try isolated power supply using SN6505 and i will think about the integrated digital isolator with isolated power

    Thanking you,
