SN6501: Efficiency data for 350mA condition

Guru 19485 points
Part Number: SN6501

Is there SN6501 efficiency graph for 350mA_max condition?

Datasheet is only 100mA_max condition.

Input and Output condition is 5Vin ⇒ 4~4.5Vout/ 200mA.

I want to find reference efficiency data for high current.

Best regards,

Satoshi

  • Hi Satoshi-san,

The SN6501 efficiency graph will vary depending on the transformer in your system and which external components are added. I will provide data momentarily for a 1.1 turns ratio transformer with no LDO, but please consider the data will very based on which turns ratio is used and whether or not there is an LDO in your system.

    Thank you for your time,

  • Satoshi-san,

Below is efficiency data for the SN6501 measured using Vcc = 5V and N = 1.1 transformer turns ratio, with no LDO. This system is identical to setup 2 in the SN6501 Multi-transformer EVM, which can be ordered for testing possible combinations of an SN6501 system.

The output voltage will vary based on load current when an LDO isn't used - like in this case - and different transformers will also affect the shape and value of this curve.

For your reference, the test data is provided in a spreedsheet attachment below.

I hope this is helpful! Please let me know which additional data will help for your design.

    Thank you for choosing TI,
    Manuel Chavez
