ISO1540DR and ISO7221CDR Soldering Issue

Part Number: ISO1540

Hello;

We have a customer who bought a reel of ISO1540DR and  ISO7221CDR from Mouser, but he found that the footprint is dull-red and  there is little Sn of the footprint  caused inconvenience of soldering. So the customer need to confirm if there is special process of the soldering, is it normal ?

Best regards

Kailyn

  • Hi Kailyn,

    I double-checked the packaging sections of both the ISO1540 (page 28) and ISO7221 (page 30, 31)- we do not expect Sn to present at all in the leads. Both parts have a Cu NiPdAu finish on the leads. There are no special soldering steps required for these parts.

    Can you send us a couple of pictures of this and lot trace codes please? I'll have my team look into this and follow-up with you.

    Regards,
    Abhi
