TINA/Spice/SN6501: Is the SN6051 simulation model compatible with LTspice?

Part Number: SN6501
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TINA-TI,

Tool/software: TINA-TI or Spice Models

Dear  TI Engineers,

I am using SN6501 simulation model in LT spice ,During simulation run it gives error "too few nodes". Please suggest how to resolve it.

Thanks

Pallavi Sharma

  • Hi Palvi,

Welcome to the E2E forums! Unfortunately the "too few nodes" error appears because LTspice cannot be supported by our device models due to regulations of IP and licensing constraints of the companies and vendors involved. Models available on the SN6501 product page are supported by PSPICE (encrypted model) and TINA-TI.

TINA-TI is a free modeling software, and a simulation file for it that includes the SN6501 + transformer system can be found on this thread. Besides this, unencrypted models cannot be released unless the user or user company has a signed NDA with TI.

I hope this is helpful! If there is another way I can help your testing, please let me know or feel free to send me a request to connect.

Thank you for using TI parts,
    Manuel Chavez
