ISO1050: Different lead frame for REV. B and REV.B1

Hi,

I observed the differences on lead frame between REV. B and REV. B1. Was that normal?

Besides lead frame, what is the main difference between REV. B and REV.B1 for this part#? Please advise.

Hi Miranda,

This difference is normal.

At one point we had had high demand for this part and so we used an old (and previous qualified) lead frame in addition to our current lead frame in order to meet demand. Both lead frames are qualified and valid.

No other differences to report.

Hi Dan,

Thank you for the info. Does that mean other than the lead frame, the die marking and electrical characteristics for REV. B and REV. B1 are exactly the same with each other?

Yes, they will both have the same electrical characteristics.

Hi Dan,

One last thing to confirm, does both revision use the SAME DICE (i.e. same die marking)?

Hi Koteshwar,

Appreciate your info. Based on customer request, below is the slight differences on the dice level between the two revisions. Could you help explain if this is also caused by the revision?

Rev. B1, DC 1842, DIE has the elliptical wiring bond and also covered on top of the dice marking

DC 1836, REV. B, rectangular shape around the die; no wire covering on the die marking
