ISO7740: Does ISO7740 Compatible with SAE J1939 Specification

Does ISO7740 support SAE J1939 Specification? How can we tell an isolator device compatible with SAE J1939 specification or not?

Hi Wayne,
The J1939 standard is a CAN bus standard. So this will be much more dependent on the CAN transceiver than the digital isolator that is interfacing with the CAN transceiver. I’ll check with our standards experts on Monday and see what kind of considerations are needed for the digital isolator in order for a system to be J1939 compliant.

Hi Wayne,
Just checked in with our standards experts. No specifications related to the isolation - just the the can transceiver parameters.
Is there a specific sub standard your customer is looking for?
