Was the TPIC8101 Knock Sensor Interface designed to be a "drop-in" replacement for the Intersil HIP9011?

I am sorry that no one got back to you sooner, I am new applications engineer to MSA and just saw your post late last week.

The TPIC8101 is a functionally equivalent and pin-to-pin replacement for the Intersil HIP9011 part. Therefore, yes the TPIC8101 is a drop in replacement part.
