Part Number: TPS7A4501-SP

Hello,

I'm designing a 3.35V LDO using the TOS7A4501-SP.

During powerup, I observe an overshoot to 3.55V. The overshoot stabalizs after ~20usec.

I tried different values on the compensation capacitor (C3 in figure 24 of the datasheet) from 220pF to 1000pF and no change was observed in the overshoot.

R1=3.01K

R2=5.33K

Do you have any recommendations on how to reduce the overshoot?

Regards,

Itai

  • Hello Itai,

    Can you confirm that you are using the EVM? Or are you observing this with your own circuit? Also what is the load during startup?

    Thanks,
    Kyle
