Hello - can you plese help me address the Question I received below?
For the SN74LVC1G17 Schmitt trigger buffer, Would I be allowed to set the Vcc voltage to 1.8V when the Input Signal will go from 0 to 5V or will this Vcc voltage not work for this particular Input voltage range?
It is OK to have voltages on the input up to 5.5V with any valid Vcc.
And this YES is ok for all LVC familie logic gates. Hence, you can use LVC gates for logic level conversion from 5V logic down to 3.3, 2.5, 1.8 V.
