Clamp Diodes on analog pins of the CD54HC4051

I have a question regarding the TI CD54HC4051 device, and the datasheet is attached.  Are there clamping diodes on the analog I/O signals?  If so, what is the maximum current thru those diodes?  There doesn’t appear to be any clamping diodes according the datasheet, but I want to be absolutely sure of it.

  • there are diodes and they are rated at 20ma.  If you look at the absolute max limits you will see Iik and Iok.  Both specd with +/- current.s.  This means there is a clamp diode to Vcc and to Gnd on the inputs and the outputs.

  • In reply to Chris Cockrill:

What is the voltage drop of the clamping diodes?

  • In reply to Jim K:

    approximately .7V
