SN74AVC16T245: SN74AVC16T245: Power Calculations

Part Number: SN74AVC16T245

I have used SN74AVC16T245 in my project for 1.8 to 3.3 and 3.3 to 1.8 volt power conversion.

Details are as follows

1.8 to 3.3 at 8 ports

3.3 to 1.8 at 7 ports

for this mentioned current rating as per data-sheet are 12mA for high output level and 8mA for low output level.

1) Since i am using all port, so what would be power consumption for this IC ?

2) is this current rating at a given voltage level is for single port or for whole IC irrespective of number of ports used?

  • To answer your second question separately, the maximum rated current for a single output of this device is +/- 50mA. The maximum rated current for the total current through Vcc or GND is 100mA. These values are located in the Absolute Maximum Ratings table.
