Bus width resizing 16Bit to 8Bit

Dear TI-Team,

for our application we need to connect a 16Bit wide camera port (YCbCr) to a 8Bit wide interface (OMAP).

What logic can you recommend to serialize the 16Bit data to 2x8Bit data?
