hi

please give the TS5N214 and SN74CBT16233 logic levels details . Voh and Vol detials are not available in the datasheet. Mentioned only SN74CBT16233 has TTL compatible inputs , output details are not mentioned. Can these devices ( TS5N214 and SN74CBT16233) compatible with CMOS or LVCMOS devices? the Voh parameter bother me?

Also the device SN74CBT16233  is bidirectional?

regards

jonna

    Hi Jonna

These parts are switches. What goes in come out.  No Voh or Vol it is simpy a connection. The inputs that are TTL compatible are the control inputs only. The iputs are compatible with any level within the input range. 0V to5V for cbt and 0V to 10V for TS5.

The CBT is a N channel FET switch this means that the output can only go up to Vcc-1V.  The TS5 uses a charch pump to boost the output to equal the input.

    Hi Chris

Thank you for the update. I have a major doubt about these muxes TS5N214 and SN74CBT16233. Will these allows Opendrain IO's (eg I2C signals) and LVDS signals through it and can do muxingdemuxing operations? Actually i have used these devices in my design for these signals, will there be any signal degradation?

    regards

    Jonna

They can be used in open drain operation. The only signal degredation the would have is the RC internal to the part. It woul be about a 5ohm 10pf connection.
