LSF0108 Pull up connection.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LSF0108

Hello,

I want to use  LSF0108 for bi-direction voltage translation (1.5V - 3.3V ) for 60Mhz. Connection as follows

1. VrefA 1.5V and VrefB and EN pulled up via 200K to 3.3V.

2. A -side is connected with 1.5V signals and B-side is connected with 3.3V.

Do i need connect pull up resistor for both side (A-side 1.5V and B-side 3.3V) or single side(pull-up B-side to 3.3V).

Please suggest me.

Thanks

vinod

  • Hi Vinod ,

You will definitely have to connect pullups on B side to have 3.3V translation . For the A side , it depends on the driver . If its open drain , you would need pullup to 1.5V ,if not (pushpull) , you would not need one .
Also , keep in mind about the current drive which should be supported by the A side input driver . It should handle enough current to sustain the low (Vol )with current from B side pullup +internal LSF Ron + if in case ,A side also has pullup resistor .
  • Thanks resolving my doubt.
