CD4541 - worst case supply current

Hello,

What is the worst case supply current for the CD4541 when powered from 12V, 9V, and 6.8V (with auto Reset enabled)?   Room temperature is fine...

Thanks,
Eric

  • Hi Eric ,

    worst case supply current will be 20uA for 12V and 10uA for 9V and 6.8V going by the datasheet. I do not have data currently for other voltages but I can search meanwhile .
  • Thanks for the response.  I am actually more concerned about actual operating currents

    Example:

    Rs = RTC = 10 K Ohm

    CTC = 10nF (Fosc approx. 4K)

    Auto Reset enabled (LOW)

    Master Clear, Mode, Pin A (LOW)

    Q and Pin B pulled High

    Measured current

    Vdd = 12V -> I = 1.6mA

    Vdd = 9V -> I = 1.1mA

    Vdd = 6.8V -> I = 0.7mA

    Are those currents in line with what should be expected???

    Thanks,
    Eric

  • I would believe this is on the higher side as compared to the datasheet .
    The datasheet mentions in note 2 that there is higher current consumption when auto reset is enabled ,but 1.6mA at 25c is a little stretch here .
