SN74LV4052A bidirection and I2S usage

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74LV4052A

Hi,

1)     I understand that SN74LV4052A is a mux and demux. Can we use it in two way direction? the explanation and application are as below:

1st case, when A is L

1Y2 send signal to 1-COM

2Y2 send signal to 2-COM

2nd case, when A is H

1-COM send signal to 1Y3

2-COM send signal to 2Y3

Could you advise if it's workable?

2)  Can we use SN74LV4052APWRG4 for I2S (audio) line? Is there any concern point?

Thanks

  • This is an analog (de)mux, so an enabled connection between *Y* and COM* behaves like a small resistor; it cares neither about the voltage (as long as it's between the limits) nor about the direction of the current.

It is possible to use it for I²S. Again, to determine the required drive strength of your signal sources, you can treat the (de)mux like a 75 Ω resistor.
