You may physically destroy the device's internal structures if you run it at higher voltages than the absolute maximum ratings. As a result, a permanent low impedance path from Vcc to GND can occur, for example.

Edit: Your picture shows the recommended operating conditions, not the absolute maximum ratings - see the answer from ShreyasRao.

Seishin ,

Most likely it is going to be fine. The 5V is under the abs max of 6.5V.
