Just i want to know that what is the maximum clock frequency i can give to SN74LV8154.

Hello,

Welcome to our forums!
There is a parameter in the datasheet that is named Fmax, which provides the maximum frequency for this device.
Ultimately, it depends on the load capacitance, but at 15pF it is noted as 40MHz, while at 50pf load it is noted as 25MHz.
This is the guaranteed operation frequency, but it is likely that the device can go higher than these specifications.

Hii,

I need to calculate nanoseconds so the frequency rating should be in GHz range.

Is there any product rating in GHz ?

Hello,

Unfortunately, we don't have any logic counters that go into the GHz range. I am not sure of any product we have that can do this.

To be honest, you might need a processor of some sort to take care of this function.

Hii,

I got an IC (TDC7200) for this porpuse. Because my main purpose was TOF . But I have a doubt that it will work with arduino or not. I have arduino and pic16f877a if it will work with any of these two then my problem will be solved. TDC7201 also can be used but i have problem with the package it available if dip pckage is available then i can use that no problem.

Hello,

The TD7200 has a SPI interface, so as long as your microcontroller has an SPI interface, then you should be able to use it.

Its possible that you can find older devices in DIP packages,however It is very rare these days (almost never) that new products are available in DIP packages.

Sometimes you can find adapter sockets if you really need it. If you google "14 pin tssop adapter" you can find a coupon board on which you can solder the TD7200 (which would be my recommendation at this point), but a device like the TD7201 cannot be easily hand soldered on to a board and therefore is much less likely to have an adapter available.

Hi Michael,

TDC7200 has a range of 500ns but i need more then that range(around 20000 ns). Is there any product in this range?
